GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED - WINNER ANNOUNCED SHORTLY
It's the Simplicity Lisette 1419 dress, newly released this year and so fresh that I couldn't find any pictures online of finished versions. I'm very partial to a pretty dress and this one has a few features that I particularly like:
- Shape of the skirt, which is really wearable for every day
- Option of collar on or off, if it's not your thing
- Keyhole detail at neckline
- Sweet casual jacket which could easily be worn with other outfits
Simplicity, along with another choice for myself:
I have to admit that only a few months ago I was sure I'd never make trousers. I don't wear them much apart from jeans and thought they'd be too hard to fit. More recently when my favourite jeans were on their last legs I began to think it would actually be pretty useful to have a trousers pattern that fit me just as I wanted. I really like the look of the shape of these trousers and also of the 'Amazing Fit' system. These are definitely going to take me a while to play about with, but I am looking forward to getting stuck in to a new challenge.
To enter the giveaway for the Lisette dress, please leave a comment below telling me if there is anything you think you'd never sew, or anything you thought you'd never sew, until you did!
Giveaway will be open until 5pm GMT on Sunday 13th April and the competition is open internationally. I will pick a winner at random.
I'm having another giveaway on the 13th, so be sure to check back here again to find out more...
Disclaimer: I was sent both patterns for free from Simplicity
