My Ásta Sóllilja sweater.
I am really happy with the colour combination. The darkest green I chose (it's at the bottom of the stack of colours, between the main green and turquoise) is maybe a little subtle but I think there are plenty of other strong colours to make up for that. The main colour wouldn't have been one I'd choose to make a whole jumper out of but I think it works beautifully with the contrasting colours - and it is all about the yoke after all. Speaking of which, the desire to get to the yoke seems to make me knit faster. All of this body knitting was done in about 2 weeks of evening-time knitting, which is fast for me.
I took my knitting on holiday and neglected to bring enough colours to knit beyond the green of the body hem. I started to knit the sleeve cuffs instead, knitting two at a time on the same needle using magic loop for the first time ever. I knew roughly what magic loop was but this tutorial explained it perfectly. It's from the infamous 'For Dummies' series, so is nice and clear As for the 'two at a time' knitting, I highly recommend this tutorial. It explains it very clearly and also in a nicely hand-holdy way tells you 'Keep going' and 'You're doing it right'. Sometimes I like my tutorials to the point but other times, virtual encouragement is great.
